Bell 47G-2 for X-Plane v8 by Brett Sumpter, Heinz Dzuirowitz, Nils Danielsson

3/4/06 - updated for v8.40b3

To install:
Unzip into where you like within your X-System\aircraft folder, ensuring you've got the "use folder names" option enabled.

I've also included an .ini file for Ben Russell's ("Indi-" on the X-Plane.org forums) PanelG plugin - it jiggles the panel in response to g loading as well as when you pass through translational lift, I highly recommend it. It's cheap, and you can try it for free as it works for 6 minutes without the key - look for it here:

This is a modified version of the 47D that Heinz, Nils, and myself worked on a while back - Heinz has done just about all of the visual work & Nils the panel, I just tweaked the flight model & performance in addition to altering their textures a bit for the civilian look. They did all the hard work, fantastic job guys.

The Bell 47 was always my favorite to fly, I've got a few hundred hours in various 47 models including the one represented here. It's a very forgiving & honest machine to fly, have fun with it! Since the sim has no way of supporting the stabilizer bar control system I've added a bit of artificial stability in pitch & roll, it feels about right to ma anyways.
